Final Video

Video Critique for Shelby and Gloria

I enjoyed watching their video because it was cute and made me laugh. I feel like the fact that it was like a commercial made it original. I also really liked the strong background voice, it added authority in a way to the video. Overall, I though their video turned out very well.

Video Critique for Vanessa and Gabby

I liked their video because it was simple and had a lot of beautiful shots of the animals here at Richland College. I feel like it was good because of the fact that they didn't involve people nor voices, it was simple and classy and I really enjoyed it.

Website

I started and finished my website today. I used a wix template and it was one long page instead of the normal different pages type of website. I wanted to do it like this because it was more original and less basic. I also used the same color scheme as my poster and power point, which is that of which represent the soul in yoga.

Poster change

Today, I decided that I hated my poster. I do not like it at all; it has too many words and not enough graphics. I decided to start over using a template and it turned out great. I used a lot of graphics and I also used the the same font as my power point so that they would look great together.

Today, I decided on what color scheme I want to use on my poster as well as what pictures I want to use. I decided to use the same picture that I used on my power point. I had to take it into illustrator and outline it myself and then put it on the bottom right of the poster. Also, the color scheme that I decided to use was green, which is the color that represent soul in yoga.

Today I started working on my poster for my capstone project. My capstone is over how to minimize the side effects of chemotherapy and my end product is pranayama which is a yoga breathing treatment. All I did today was decide what kind of font I wanted to use on the poster as well as what size I want the fonts to be.

PSA changes

I have been working on trying to film scenes for my PSA video all week. However, I decided that I no longer want to film and make an actual video. I just want to do a quick little power point. I decided to do this because I do not have the time to film and edit an actual PSA video. I don't even want nor need to use the video in my capstone presentation.

PSA

I have been working very diligently to get my PSA video done. I have decided that I want to do a scene where I talk about what Pranayama is as well as how to do it. I hope to film by this week or the next. So far, all is going well with the video.

What did I learn today in class?

I went over my poster with the professor at the beginning of class and reviewed what I needed to do to make it better. I then worked on it for the rest of the class and am almost done with it.

All about three videos and my Capstone!

The first video that I watched while researching different PSA's was called, "PSA on Radiation Therapy." The video had people drawing while they were talking and it was very interesting to watch. The people in the video went into detail with the subject they were talking about, but it wasn't boring at all. It was captivating and kept me interested, so it gave me some ideas on how to keep people's attention in my video. The second video I watched was, "Are you ready to be a hero?" I liked the title of this one as well as the way it was filmed. Everyone that spoke in the video was standing against a solid wall with serious expressions. The seriousness in the video made my heart jump out to what they were talking about and caused my emotions to surface. The third video was simply called, "Yoga" and was interesting because it gave visual demonstrations. Everything was done in unison to the person who was talking in the video with the person giving demonstrations. This video was serious but to an extent because it also had a playful touch to it.

My Capstone project is over the side effects of Chemotherapy. Even though Chemotherapy fixes one problem, it causes another; side-effects. There are many different side-effects caused by chemotherapy and I want to try to find a way to minimize them and even prevent them if possible. My solution  is to create an experiment; take six people all going through the same treatment of chemotherapy and give three of them Pranayama treatments. Pranayama is a type of yoga breathing treatment that reduces stress. I will take the other three people and monitor their side effects without the treatments and then I will compare the two groups to see if it minimizes the side-effects or not.

RCHS Culture and Diversity

For the theme of my yearbook cover, I am planning on using the school mascot, the colors, etc. Although I'm not too fond of the colors, I feel that it is important to use them in honor of the school. It shows the schools pride and who we represent. It is because of the school that we are who we are today and I feel that it is a sort of reward to the school to use their colors. After all, we will be using these yearbooks later on in the future and we should be reminded of who the school was and what it represented.

I don't really have a design in mind for the yearbook yet, but I want to do something with flags to represent how diverse our school is. I also want to mix the flags with the school colors somehow to represent the school.

Yearbook Covers

I really like this yearbook cover because of its modern look. I like the color scheme as well as the way the words are slightly of centered and turned.

I really like this yearbook cover because the letter for the school is huge and very bright compared to the dark background that isn't as important. I like the little line of words used for the background, it's unique and very cool looking.



I like how the the yearbook cover background is the school jacket. This type of yearbook cover looks like it is from a school that is very proud of itself. So proud that it even makes the yearbook cover the same colors of the school with the emblem and everything. To me this shows that the school is prideful and I really like that.
